Hormones and Corrections Sentencing

Turns out hormones affect how much more we respond to and internalize fear than happiness or good things that happen. Which helps to explain why we’re so immobilized by our fear of crime even in the face of probability stats or actual crime rates. And this study probably just reinforces it: An important new study in the Journal of Consumer Research reveals that negative opinions cause the greatest attitude shifts, not just from good to bad, but also from bad to worse. Doubt we’ll see anyone pushing for TECHNOCORRECTIONS changes to that bio event, though.
