Around the Blogs, Friday, December 14, 2007

  • Good news in CO, reported by Pam Clifton at Think Outside the Cage, where the state is receiving $13.6 m. additional dollars for substance abuse treatment, which should help that overgrowing prison pop significantly. I’m picturing high fives among Pam and Christie and the other folks there.
  • Okay, over two weeks away from his blog is enough to make it a matter of concern. Where is Corey Rayburn Yung? We do notice, young man.
  • Mind Hacks has an interesting post up on an article about psychopaths and prisons and looking at their brain activation compared to those not so diagnosed. I liked, and got scared by, this quote from one of the offenders studied: “I think my high psychopath score is a talent, not a sickness — I can make good strong decisions, and it's good to have some distance with people.” All righty, then. I’m seeing good rehab potential here.
