Canaries, Coal Mines, Us

"The Arctic is often cited as the canary in the coal mine for climate warming. Now as a sign of climate warming, the canary has died. It is time to start getting out of the coal mines."

-- NASA climate scientist Jay Zwally (h/t Gristmill)

Meanwhile, EU ministers are threatening to boycott a US-led climate summit next month over the Bush administration's opposition to firm cuts in greenhouse gas emissions.

The world we’re all used to is going away. Corrections sentencing will either adjust or impede. That’s our reality, whether we’re ready for it or not. Where’s our summit???

[The Cliff Clavens who deny it’s happening are being recorded and will be treated accordingly.]
