More on Amachi

We did a post a few weeks back (too tired to hunt it down to link to it) on the successful Amachi program that started in Philly and now has gone national to provide training to volunteer orgs to help children who have parents in prison through matching volunteers to mentor. The Christian Science Monitor has a newer story on that program here that provides stats and concerns (more girls get mentors that boys so far) and that should give you incentive to participate or get one going where you are.

[And if you want to see one of the more lunatic threads ever to a blog post, check out what Doug Berman created when he posted on this earlier today at Sentencing Law and Policy.]
