Great Editorial Re: The U.S. Attorney Firings

The Newark Star Ledger weighs in this morning on the firing of eight U.S. Attorneys with this kick-butt editorial. For those who don't live in the Garden State, it's a given that our own U.S. Attorney, Chris Christie, a Bush appointee, has done more than any single person to root out the endemic corruption that is so deeply woven into the fabric of New Jersey political life, and which has, for some time, been steadily transforming this great state into a mid-Atlantic banana republic. The editorial keys in on my own concern that the unfolding scandal may have the potential to unfairly tarnish the great work of federal prosecutors like Christie whose legitimate targets happen to be Democrats. Hey Alberto, are you listening?
