More Praise for MO

Hot on the heels of a crushing defeat of AR (Arkansas, not Arizona) (sorry, had to get that in there), MO receives more kudos on its juvenile justice system, this time at Juvienation. Which isn’t surprising for the folks over there, but the post is really good at telling you why the praise is deserved, complete with concise history and performance measures if you want a Reader’s Digest version. As they conclude:

The early ’90s crackdown on juvenile crime has by now brought many state systems to the brink of crisis; if current trends continue, other states are likely to follow. The Missouri model offers the best route away from this dead-end road.
