Second Life Update

Not looking good for immediate application of Second Life virtual reality simulation for the testing of crim theories. Turns out the energy requirements just to run a few avatars is so high that we shouldn't expect these things soon. On the other hand, it's always seemed to me that some of the simpler simulations with small units behaving according to rules depending on what those around them were doing might be an alternative. In any case, don't completely despair. I've contacted some academic types to see if their tech-oriented students might be interested in pursuing this. None have called me crazy (yet . . . or to my face), and we'll see where it goes. I'll keep you in the loop.
