How A Profession Is Supposed to Work

The NC Bar has disbarred the Duke lacrosse DA for actions that caricatured all the worse flaws of the bad DAs in this country. This is exactly how a professional association is supposed to work, although most don't do nearly the job policing themselves that they should (and that applies to all professions, not just attorneys or DAs). Let's hope some lessons are learned, good and bad, and that more actions are brought against judges, prosecutors, and defense counsel who step outside decent behavior in their self-aggrandizement and self-importance. Every good DA in America was tainted by this guy, and by others still out there operating, and they deserve better. Maybe this will be a start at protecting them.
