Reentry in KS

Real Cost of Prisons has been finding some really good articles lately, and this one on the surprisingly progressive and effective efforts in KS on reentry is a nice example. Some background on what they’re doing plus the important cooperation between the Dems and Repubs there in the state to get it done. Sen. Brownback has turned out to be a major voice in the reentry movement. Probably won’t be President but he’s at least addressing the issue at greater intensity than any of the other candidates of either party. [And while at Real Cost, check out this op-ed they found on the need for repeal of the Rockefeller Laws and the new report coming out from NY’s sorta sentencing commission.]
